RedCord therapy and susension training metod
The RedCord system was first introduced in Norway and has been researched and developed over two decades. Today, it is being used by physiotherapists and athletes in over 20 countries to promote rehabilitation, functional strength training, and injury prevention.
Patients with neck, back, pelvic and shoulder disorders often experience periods of long-term pain or inactivity. Fatigue and pain associated with these conditions can result in decreased activation of one or more muscles, causing surrounding muscles to compensate or become over-worked, often leading to more pain or dysfunction.
RedCord addresses this problem by providing neuromuscular activation. Through the use of ropes and slings that off-load a patient’s body weight, targeted movements and exercises can be performed in a pain-free fashion to restore normal, functional movement patterns.
Moreover, RedCord suspension exercises are the ideal way to activate core muscles to improve stability and motor control that can prevent injury as well as enhance performance.
Benefits of RedCord therapy include:
- Muscle relaxation
- Increased joint range of motion
- Decreased pain
- Improved neuromuscular interaction
- Increased muscle strength, endurance
- Improved balance and coordination
- Enhanced performance in daily life and sports
